Maison Margo - Ghent

The room was smaller than expected, smelling a bit funny. I thought I'd be greeted with a complimentary treat, but it's just a bunch of rules about no food or drinks. The wine bar was annoyingly close, like a fishbowl experience. Had high hopes, almost wrote a good review but just couldn't.

I came here for 3 nights and had an amazing stay. Absolutely charming place with helpful staff, everything was perfect. The hotel was in the heart of Ghent. Also, it was in a very very nice area, I liked that.

the staff was amiable, always there to help. really enjoyed coffee and tea making facilities, a multi-channel tv, and a writing table in the room.

The decor was beautiful, and the shower was great. It was super quiet yet close to the main street was great. The wine bar next door had a great selection and a friendly vibe 🍷

The Beautiful King Room felt a bit cramped, especially with larger luggage. Noise from the adjoining patio was a bit distracting-cleaning and chatter echoed through the walls. Strict rules about consuming food or drinks in the room. Even our bottle of scotch was removed during cleaning. Early cleaning personnel also added a pressure that wasn't especially welcome.

The staff was not cute and seemed annoyed by our early arrival. I was particularly frustrated by the strict rules prohibiting food and drinks in the room. The proximity of the wine bar outside our room made it difficult to enjoy a peaceful evening, as it could get noisy, especially during warmer months.

Cozy room, fantastic bed, where the fluffy and comfortable mattress ensured a restful night's sleep, coupled with a great location, as we could easily explore the nearby sights and enjoy the bar/lounge area after a long day.

Had a lovely stay with a cozy room and super comfy bed, making it easy to relax after exploring the city. Enjoyed the attached wine bar for some evening downtime and a well-stocked lounge area for unwinding. Just a heads up, the wine bar can get a bit noisy if you're an early sleeper in warmer months. 🍷

ideal base for exploring ghent's top landmarks and parks

My stay was wonderful as i enjoyed the beautifully cozy room and the hotel's proximity to so many charming attractions like saint bavo's cathedral just 600 meters away and the iconic belfry of ghent only a short walk of about 500 meters, making it super easy to soak in the city's rich history .

We were moved to a deluxe quadruple room with a terrace and an amazingly comfortable bed. The location in Ghent was unbeatable, close enough to the train station and great restaurants, which are also very close by. The nice design of the hotel was also a standout feature, and we loved the funky bar.

Spotless, modern rooms with thoughtful details. Convenient location near attractions and quiet street. Stylish wine bar for a relaxing evening. Attentive host with helpful tips on parking and local eateries. Would highly recommend for a fantastic stay.
